Introducing Sirportly!

Over the last 3 years we’ve always struggled with finding a support solution which allowed use to easily communicate with our customers whenever they has questions, comments or suggestions about one of our services. Last year we launched our new support site and many of our users were very keen that we release this as a product so they could take advantage of it too… so we did!

Sirportly is a feature-rich and powerful customer communications platform which has been extracted from both our current support site but we’ve also add a bunch more functionality to allow users to completely customise their support system to match their business requirements.

What’s great about Sirportly is that we’ve provided two editions: a cloud edition and a download edition. This means you can either host your helpdesk on our reliable UK-based cloud or you can download the software itself install it on your own servers!

We’ll be posting much more about this product over the next few weeks as we develop it further and enhance the website. You can sign up for a 30 day free trial straight away from our website.

If you have any questions, we’d be more than happy to hear from so you feel free to drop us an email.

Enterprise Application Hosting from Appli

We’re very pleased to announce the launch of Appli – our new application hosting platform. Appli provides you with all the resources you need to host your applications on our enterprise infrastructure.

Everything in Appli is based on the technologies we currently use to host our own popular web applications. Over the years we’ve learnt a lot about the more effective and efficient ways to run this type of setup and now we want to share it with you.

Why not head over to the Appli site to take a look at our key features or just watch some screencasts.

Welcome to our new blog

As a small and busy company, we’ve always struggled with keeping our blog up to date and over the last 18 months we haven’t updated it nearly enough. It’s now time for that to change. In the past we have had a number of blogs spread across all our sites (one for Codebase, one for Deploy etc…) but we’ve now consolidated everything into a single site at blog.atechmedia.com.

The new blog, like so many, is powered by WordPress. We found the admin interface behind WordPress to be very nice to use and the nicer the system, more likely we are to write posts and keep things up to date.

I’d encourage you to subscribe to our new RSS feed and we promise to keep things you informed with all our latest news & tips and tricks. This blog will also serve, along with our status site, as the primary location for any updates related to our service status and scheduled maintenance.

Say hello to aTech Identity

We have just completed work on aTech Identity, our powerful single sign-on allowing users to switch seamlessly between aTech Media applications, as well as update passwords and email addresses from a single interface.

Users signing in with an aTech identity will see a small bar at the bottom of the screen allowing fast switching between accounts and applications.

Users can of course still log in using their existing accounts, and the process of moving to an aTech Identity is simple. Just click the upgrade banner and either create or link an identity.

Next week we will be rolling out aTech Identity to Codebase and Deliver, allowing seamless switching between accounts in all aTech Media applications.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

Say hello to Deliver

Over the last few months we’ve been working on a new application, Deliver. Deliver is an incoming & outgoing e-mail application allowing web application developers to easily receive & process incoming e-mail and monitor delivery rates of all outgoing e-mail.

Deliver sports a beautiful user interface along with a fast & reliable backend for processing all your incoming & outgoing messages. Switching to Deliver is as simple as changing the SMTP details on your website and accepting e-mail is as easy as accepting a normal HTTP POST request – just like receiving an HTML form!

We are very happy to announce that Deliver beta launches today. We will be sending invitations to everyone who has already expressed an interest, and we hope to open the system to everyone very soon. Check out the website for full details.

Deploy is live!

We’ve just flicked the switch and taken Deploy out of our beta period and allowed anyone to signup for an account – you can now browse packages and signup for an account on our packages page. Remember that all paid accounts include a free 10 day trial and you won’t even be asked for payment details until the end of your trial.

If you already have a Codebase account you are entitled to a free Deploy account – you can signup for an account by logging into your Codebase account, selecting My Account and then clicking the link in the blue box provided.

We’re very excited about Deploy and hopefully you will be too. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to drop an email to our team at support@deployhq.com or follow us on Twitter. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the blog and we’ll be publishing updates whenever they occur.

New Billing System Live

9 weeks ago we started the initial work on developing a new billing system, Sum, and after some sporadic development, we’re very pleased to announce that we’ve just deployed the finished product and moved all Codebase billing over to it.

The change is mostly for our benefit as it gives the flexibility to generate reports for all our applications from one interface as well as monitoring our financials in real time.

If you already have added your payment card & address to your Codebase account, it’s unlikely you’ll even notice the change. Having said that, the new system does introduce some new features which account owners will be able to take advantage of:

PDF invoices – you can download PDF invoices for any invoice raised on your account (including ones generated before we moved). We’ve also included a URL in your invoice notification email allowing you to download it.

Pay for your Codebase subscription on a quarterly, biannual or annual basis in addition to the default monthly timescale. If you decide not to pay monthly, you can settle your invoices using Paypal directly from the new system.

In the next few weeks we’ll be allowing companies from the EU to apply for VAT-free billing which allows you to receive your Codebase subscription without VAT included by default.
